Did anyone catch Chris Wallace’s interview of former President Bill Clinton on FOX News a couple weeks ago?
Well, no…neither did I. I don’t watch FOX News. Those guys are all a bunch of deluded clowns. Especially that dope O’Reilly.
However, I did check out a recording of the interview on the net.
And I must say that, if there was ever a reason to allow a President to serve more than two terms, this interview was it.
Here was a man with balls, defending the actions of his administration and blasting the “journalistic integrity” of FOX News (journalistic integrity in quotes, because, far as I believe, FOX News has no integrity whatsoever). This was a man ambushed by the US media’s most visible Conservative mouthpiece, on something that should be considered a non-issue (except for those looking to place blame on anyone but the current administration for 9/11).
This was a man who could, and should, be President again.
Did he break under the pressure?
No. Not even when that freakish clown Wallace smirked at him, our former President did not stutter or show any sign of faltering. He continued forward, shot an insult or two at Wallace, and angrily attacked the fairness of the “fair and balanced” FOX Network.
For never do you see Conservatives under such damaging fire from Chris Wallace, Bill O’Reilly, or any other FOX cronies. Oh no…they’ll pussyfoot around the issues with guys like Donald Rumsfeld or Dick Cheney.
But when a huge slab of Liberal political steak like former President Bill Clinton is there on the plate, they’ve gotta take a stab at it. Even if, in the end, it makes the network look like a crowd of ridiculous little imps attacking a political Godzilla.
To attack Clinton now on the issue of killing Bin Laden is a bit like someone jumping on me for a roach problem in a former apartment.
“Dude, you used to live here?”
“Yeah. What of it?”
“Man, there are roaches all over the place! What’d you, feed ‘em? Let ‘em breed? They literally crawl all over me as I sleep!”
After a long sigh, I reply. “I dropped a bug bomb or two in the house while I lived here and set up a few of those roach hotels. I killed quite a few of the fuckers, but Big Mama eluded me. She’s got a good hiding place. Besides, man, that was EIGHT MONTHS AGO! I don’t see any roach hotels here now. Bet you haven’t bombed the place either. Don’t blame me because you’ve ignored the problem. At least I tried, motherfucker.”
Unfortunately, we’re not dealing with roaches. But The War on Terror is a lot like a roach infestation. Or The War on Drugs. No matter what we do, it’s never going to go away. But there are ways to keep the problem in check.
And this, my friends, starts with preventative measures. Keep all goods on lockdown. Make sure the house is clean. Keep a close, vigilant eye for live or dead roaches, and yeah, drop the occasional bomb or set a trap or two.
But don’t go making a mess of the fucking place by bombing to dust a country that has nothing to do with terrorism. Because you give the terrorists something to feed on.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the world’s far worse off under the present administration. It’s just a damned disgrace the overpaid morons at FOX News don’t realize it, too.
